Kalama School District is inviting members of the public to attend an open house event at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2022.
The event is a celebration of the district’s new facilities: a 33,000-square-foot building that serves secondary grades; a STEM center and science labs on the third floor of Kalama High School; and the new Kalama Elementary School building.
The new facilities were made possible by state grant funds and a $63.4 million school bond that voters in Kalama approved in 2018.
In addition to facility tours, attendees of the May 26 open house will have the opportunity to meet school building leaders and learn about career opportunities within Kalama schools. The district will also recognize staff and community members who helped in the facility planning and construction process.
The event will kick off in front of the new secondary school building at 550 China Garden Road.
All members of the public are welcome to attend.
