As Kalama School District finalizes its search for Kalama Elementary School’s next principal, the district is inviting all families and community members to speak with the final candidates during a forum on Tuesday, May 10.
The community forum will be held in the Kalama Elementary School cafeteria from 6-7 p.m. Participants will have an opportunity to learn more about each of the finalists, and to ask questions and provide input on the qualities and characteristics they believe are most important in Kalama Elementary’s leader.
Feedback from the forum will be an important part of the process during the final round of candidate interviews, which will be followed by a formal recommendation from the superintendent to the School Board.
The district initiated its search for an elementary school principal earlier this spring. A stakeholder input survey was published in March to help recruit and screen candidates, and interviews have continued as recently as this week. Finalists for the position will be determined by Friday afternoon (5/6).
