Gage Williams with his family and the Kalama School Board

Kalama Middle School student Gage Williams was recognized as Kalama School District’s Student of the Month during the Kalama School Board meeting on Monday, October 28.

Gage, who is currently in 6th Grade, was praised by several of his current and former teachers for his infectious positivity and dedication to helping others. Known for his bright smile and supportive attitude, Gage’s teachers said he consistently shows up ready to learn, and contributes to a warm and welcoming environment for everyone at school.

“Gage embodies so many of our school’s core values: respect, responsibility, kindness, and leadership,” said Kalama Middle School Principal Jennifer McCallum. “Every day, he brings a positive attitude to class, completes his work diligently, and is always ready to help others.”

During the Student of the Month nomination process, one of Gage’s teachers wrote, “Gage’s smile is infectious, and his good attitude is inspiring. He works hard in class and is always helpful to his classmates.” Another teacher noted, “He is always quick to lend a helping hand, even if he wasn’t involved in the situation.”
