Snow Routes

Snowy road

If severe weather necessitates closing schools, opening them late or using snow bus routes, the district will make every effort to inform parents no later than 6 a.m.

When snow routes are in effect:

Route 501

  • Route 218 students that live at Green Mountain Rd. Students will meet bus 78 at the “Y” where Green Mountain Rd. and Martin Bluffs intersect.

Route 502

  • Woolford Rd. will not be traveled. Students who live on Woolford Rd. will meet Bus #230 at the bottom of Woolford at 7:50 A.M.

Route 503

  • Bus will travel normal route.

Route 504

  • Mountain View Rd. will have no service beyond Tara Lane. Students will meet the bus at Tara Lane at 7:30 A.M.

Route 505

  • Green Mountain Rd. will not have service beyond J.E. Johnson Rd. Students will meet the bus at logging road with blue gate below J.E. Johnson Road at 7:30 A.M.

  • Green Mountain Rd. will not have service between Martins Bluff and Shirley Gordon. Students will meet Route 501 at Martin’s Bluff and Green Mountain at 7:15 A.M.

  • Green Mountain shortcut will not have service and Angels Rd. and Goldfinch Rd. Students will meet the bus at Cloverdale at 7:50 A.M.

Route 506

  • China Garden will have no service beyond Rogers Rd. Students will meet the bus at Rogers Rd. at 7:40 A.M.

  • If “NO TAYLOR ROAD” is specified during a snow route, the bus will NOT travel up Taylor Rd.

Route 507

  • Kalama River Rd. will have no service beyond 8100 Bridge on Kalama River Rd. Meet bus at 8100 Bridge at 7:05 A.M.

  • Italian Creek will have no service beyond Palisade Rd. Meet bus at Palisade Rd. at 7:30 A.M.

Route 508

  • Bus will travel normal route.

If snow routes are in effect in the morning, but routes are safe and passable in the afternoon, buses will return to normal routes. However, if a safety concern remains, snow routes will remain in effect. If we know with certainty that buses will remain on snow routes throughout the day, we will include that information in our morning notices.

If school has been delayed due to travel conditions, please continue to monitor our website and local media, as roads will be checked again later in the morning.
