What Do you enjoy about being part of the Kalama School Board?

I enjoy seeing our young people grow up into adults. I have a great sense of pride when I see them graduating from college or getting jobs and starting their own lives. I enjoy being part of the process of educating our youth. Most of all, I enjoy being able to spend time with this great group of young people we have in Kalama.

Why did you choose to run for a school board postion?

I believe it is our responsibility to provide for the education of the youth in our community, to prepare them for both their and our future. It takes the efforts of many different people, parents, teachers, administrators and the community as a whole to provide the right setting for our students to have a proper learning environment. I wanted to be part of the process and that’s why I chose to run for the School Board Position.

I had a strong desire to get involved in my community and having seen the dedication of administrators, teachers, staff and students, I wanted to be a part of supporting them. There are some very important decisions being made in how we educate our children and I wanted to be a part of that process.
